Affidavit of Translation — Notarized Online

A sworn statement confirming that a translated document is a true and accurate translation of the original, signed over a secure video call.

Government offices, schools, and immigration authorities often require a sworn affidavit alongside a translated document to confirm that the translation is accurate and complete — particularly when the translator is not themselves a certified professional translator.

The translator signs the affidavit during the video appointment, declaring their fluency in both languages and the accuracy of the translation. The commissioner verifies their photo ID and witnesses the signature.

Notarized in accordance with O. Reg. 431/20. We do not verify the accuracy of the translation itself — our role is to witness the translator's sworn statement, not to assess the translation's quality.
