Statutory Declaration of Translation — Commissioned Online
A formal declaration by a translator who is not certified, confirming that a translation is complete and accurate.
When a document in another language is translated by someone who is not a certified translator, many offices, including immigration authorities, ask the translator to confirm the accuracy of the translation in a formal declaration.
The translator signs, not the document owner. They upload the declaration with the translation and the original, join the video call, show their photo ID and sign while the commissioner watches.
Commissioned in accordance with O. Reg. 431/20. We do not check the translation itself; the translator is responsible for its accuracy.
Statutory Declaration of Translation FAQ
What is the difference from an Affidavit of Translation?
