Letter of Authorization for Vehicle Pickup — Notarized Online
Written permission for someone else to collect a vehicle from a compound, dealership, or port, notarized over a secure video call.
Tow yards, dealerships, and ports are understandably strict about who they hand a vehicle to. If the owner cannot be there in person, a notarized letter naming the person who will collect it is usually what gets things released without a second trip.
The owner signs live on the call, with the letter unsigned beforehand. We verify photo ID, witness the signature, and seal it. The person collecting the vehicle then carries the letter along with their own ID.
Notarized in accordance with O. Reg. 431/20. Each compound or dealership sets its own rules, so it is worth asking what they require before the call. We cannot speak for them.
