Student & OSAP Affidavits
Affidavit of Support for Education Purposes — Commissioned Online
A sworn statement from a parent, relative or sponsor confirming they will financially support a student’s education.
Schools, scholarship programs and immigration authorities sometimes ask for proof that a student’s tuition and living costs are covered. A sworn statement from the person paying gives that commitment formal weight.
The supporter is the one who signs. They can join the video call from anywhere, including from abroad, show their photo ID and sign while the commissioner watches.
Commissioned in accordance with O. Reg. 431/20. We do not advise on how much support is required or on the outcome of any application.
