Student & OSAP Affidavits
OSAP Affidavit of Parental Income — Commissioned Online
A sworn confirmation of a parent’s income for a dependent student’s OSAP assessment.
For a dependent student, OSAP looks at the parents’ income as well. When that income cannot be confirmed in the usual way, for example self-employment, income earned abroad or no tax return on file, a parent may be asked to swear an affidavit.
The parent is the one who signs. They can join the video call from home or work, show their own photo ID, and sign while the commissioner watches. The student does not need to be on the call.
Commissioned in accordance with O. Reg. 431/20. We do not provide advice on OSAP eligibility or on what income should be declared.
